American Intercontinental University |
| Visual Communication |
| I have graduated from American Intercontinental University. I am so happy
that I did. I am able to get jobs that I could not have gained in the past.
The degree alone will not get you into your chosen field. It is your
willingness to learn new software and study. No one can do that, except
you.
Today, I work at a sign shop, building websites and graphics. I have to
stay up to date on the latest technology, so I order educational
instruction videos fot the updates. In Visual Communication, the work that
you can do is more important than any degree, from any school. However,
most employers w...Read Full Review |

Watch the financial aid office or you will be ripped off |
| Bussiness administraton |
| The shool is on top of things until you are in. the classes are good the
pace is fantastic. I was impressed would have gone back to get my BS degree
but the financial aid office changed my advisor and the person I was
working with did not put through my aid and had me sign a form that I would
be a self pay student just to get me back in class while we got all this
stuff worked out. Well the first guy was so great and did everything he
said I trusted this guy signed the form then promptly completed the papers
he needed and faxed to him however. He never submitted them and now I have
no true deg...Read Full Review |

you it was hard - very long nights, etc The material was very well presented
and "most" lecturers appeared very helpful and knowledgeable. |

Good but bad |
| Associate's Degree in Business Administration |
| I graduated from American Intercontinental University in 12/2008 with
Associate's Degree in Business Administration majoring in Medical
Coding/Billing. It seems from my experience, the school has more cons than
pros.
Good:
(1) The convenience: you can learn anytime, anywhere.
(2) I like a challenge, most of the curriculum is challenging just not in
what I'm majoring in! The majority of my classes were for business; I
worked very hard to receive high grades for these classes.
(3) Most of my professors were professionals of related fields in the
classes they were teaching.
(4) They're a...Read Full Review |

Do your research and you'll be fine |
| BFA in Visual Communications |
| I'm graduating with my BFA in Visual Communications tomorrow. I'm a
veteran, have my AS in Business Management from a California College and
have had a VERY POSITIVE experience with AIU. I've read people complaining
about the price of education at this school; for one thing, the degree
program they offer is ACCELERATED and includes the cost of books. I've
received books for my design degree that are very useful and that I will
continue to use throughout my career.
The reps for AIU are unbelievably helpful, always keeping up with
communications, helping me with professor issues, and by the w...Read Full Review |

Challenging, fast-paced, and enjoyable school! |
| Associate Business Admin |
| The American Intercontinental University online has proved to be an
interesting learning experience. I am about to enter my second class, and
so far, I have enjoyed my learning experience. There is a lot of
communication between students and the professor on the discussion board
and in the twice weekly chat sessions. The homework, due by Saturday at
midnight (central time), is challenging but not impossible. There are no
graded tests, but there are self-tests. The multimedia presentations are
fast and to the point. I did not like the group project, because you will
find other students wh...Read Full Review |

Great online instruction |
| Bachelors in Criminal Justice |
| I graduated from AIU this summer with a bachelor's degree in criminal
justice. I can say alot of good and bad things about this school, but I
must be fair.
The education, frankly, is top-notch. The instructors are excellent,
qualified individuals with a lot to offer. The course material is relevant
and the the program is intense. I had 9 years in the law enforcement field
prior to starting at AIU, so i can tell you that the education they are
providing is real-world and cutting edge. I have absolutely no complaints
about the courses, the instructors, or the education I received.
I can ho...Read Full Review |
